- 1 lb ground hamburger
- 4 medium potatoes, sliced
- 1 can condensed cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup shredded cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large skillet, brown the ground hamburger over medium heat until fully cooked.
- In a greased casserole dish, layer the sliced potatoes.
- Spread the cooked hamburger over the potatoes.
- Pour the cream of mushroom soup over the mixture and season with salt and pepper.
- Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes.
- Remove the foil, sprinkle cheese on top, and bake for an additional 15 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Notes
Slice potatoes evenly for even cooking. You can add onions or garlic for extra flavor. Substitute cream of mushroom soup with cream of chicken if desired.
