  • 1 packet (2 ¼ teaspoons) active dry yeast
  • ¾ cup warm milk
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 2 large eggs
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
  • ½ cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine the warm milk and yeast. Allow it to activate for about 5-10 minutes until frothy.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, granulated sugar, and salt. Then, mix in the melted butter and eggs. Pour in the yeast mixture and stir until a dough forms.
  3. Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for about 5 minutes until smooth and elastic. Let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour until doubled in size.
  4. Roll out the dough into a large rectangle. Spread the softened butter over the dough, then sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon.
  5. Roll the dough tightly and slice it into 12 equal pieces. Place them in a greased baking dish.
  6. Allow the rolls to rise for another 30 minutes until puffy.
  7. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
  8. While cooling, whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla. Drizzle generously over the warm rolls.
