Description
A quick and healthy breakfast of crispy bread topped with perfectly cooked eggs, made easily in an air fryer.
Ingredients

- 2 slices of bread
- 2 large Grade A eggs
- Salted butter (spreadable and at room temperature)
- Kosher salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
Instructions
- Using a sturdy glass, press down in the center of each bread slice to create a well for the egg.
- Butter each slice of bread generously with room-temperature salted butter.
- Place a rack in your air fryer basket and spray it with oil to prevent sticking.
- Crack one egg into a small dish, then pour it into the well of one slice of bread; repeat with the second egg.
- Sprinkle kosher salt and pepper on the eggs for extra flavor.
- Set the air fryer to 375℉ and cook for 6 minutes for runny yolks, adding a minute or two for firmer yolks.
- Carefully remove the egg toast from the air fryer using a spatula and serve.
Notes
Use thicker slices of bread for better structure. Feel free to add toppings like cheese, herbs, or cooked bacon for variety.
