- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 cup milk
- 2 large eggs
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 1 cup diced apples
Instructions
- Preheat your waffle iron according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, salt, and sugar, and whisk well.
- In another bowl, mix the milk, eggs, and melted butter until well combined.
- Gradually pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined.
- Fold in the diced apples.
- Lightly grease the waffle iron and pour in the batter according to the manufacturer’s guidelines.
- Cook until golden brown, usually 2 to 5 minutes.
- Carefully remove the waffle donut and repeat with the remaining batter.
- Serve warm, optionally dusted with powdered sugar or drizzled with icing.
Notes
Try adding walnuts or pecans for extra crunch. Serve with maple syrup or ice cream for a delightful dessert.
