Description

Baked Feta Orzo is a delightful and easy dish combining creamy feta cheese, tender orzo pasta, and fresh cherry tomatoes, perfect for busy weeknights or impressing guests.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup orzo pasta
  • 1 block feta cheese (200g)
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a baking dish, combine the orzo, cherry tomatoes, olive oil, garlic, oregano, salt, and pepper.
  3. Place the block of feta cheese in the center of the dish.
  4. Pour in enough water to cover the orzo.
  5. Bake for 25-30 minutes until the orzo is cooked and the feta is golden.
  6. Stir everything together until creamy.
  7. Garnish with fresh basil before serving.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. Reheat with a splash of water to keep it moist.
