Balsamic Baked Chicken Breast

Description

A delicious and healthy balsamic baked chicken breast that’s easy to prepare and packed with flavor.


Ingredients

  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Combine balsamic vinegar, olive oil, honey, minced garlic, dried oregano, and dried thyme in a medium-sized mixing bowl. Whisk until well blended and season with salt and pepper.
  2. Place chicken breasts in a resealable plastic bag or shallow dish and pour the marinade over the chicken. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, preferably 2 to 4 hours.
  3. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking dish with foil or parchment and lightly grease it.
  4. Remove marinated chicken from the fridge and let it sit at room temperature for 10-15 minutes.
  5. Place chicken in the baking dish and pour any remaining marinade over it.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
  7. Let the chicken rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing. Serve with desired sides, garnished with basil if desired.

Notes

Marinating the chicken for longer creates more flavor. Check the internal temperature for doneness.
