Banana Oatmeal Bars

Description

Delicious and healthy banana oatmeal bars, perfect for breakfast or a snack.


Ingredients

  • 1½ cups mashed bananas (approx. 3 bananas)
  • ½ cup nut butter
  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • ½ teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Heat the oven to 350°F and line a 9×9 baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, mix together the mashed bananas, nut butter, rolled oats, cinnamon, vanilla extract, maple syrup, chocolate chips, and salt.
  3. Transfer the mixture to the lined baking pan and flatten it into a flat, even layer. You can add more chocolate chips on top if you like!
  4. Bake for 18 to 20 minutes or until the edges of the bars are golden and they appear to be set.
  5. Allow the bars to cool completely before cutting.

Notes

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days or refrigerate for up to a week. For longer storage, freeze individually wrapped bars for up to 3 months.
