- 1 lb beef, thinly sliced (flank steak or sirloin)
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, oyster sauce, and cornstarch. Add the sliced beef, ensuring it’s well coated. Let it marinate for 10 minutes.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large pan or wok over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the minced garlic and ginger. Sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add the marinated beef to the pan and stir-fry until it’s nicely browned.
- Toss in the broccoli florets and a splash of water; cover the pan to steam for 3-4 minutes or until the broccoli is tender but still bright green.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste, and serve hot.
Notes
For extra flavor, consider adding sesame oil towards the end of cooking. Can also substitute broccoli with other vegetables like zucchini or bell peppers.
