Description

A comforting and nutritious cabbage soup, perfect for any season, packed with vegetables and flavors.


Ingredients

  • 1 large cabbage, chopped
  • 2 small onions, diced
  • 2 cans of stewed tomatoes
  • 1 pouch Lipton Onion Soup Mix (any flavor)
  • 1 large celery stalk, chopped very small
  • 12 pounds ground beef (optional)
  • Additional spices (salt, pepper, garlic powder, etc.) as desired

Instructions

  1. Fill a large saucepan halfway with water and bring it to a boil.
  2. Add the chopped cabbage, onions, celery, and stewed tomatoes to the pot.
  3. Bring the mixture to a simmer and cook until the vegetables are tender.
  4. In a separate skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat, breaking it up as it cooks. Once fully cooked, drain any excess fat.
  5. Stir the Lipton Onion Soup Mix into the pot with the vegetables. Add any spices of your choice, such as salt, pepper, or garlic powder.
  6. Add the cooked ground beef to the pot with the vegetables. Simmer the soup for a few more minutes to let the flavors meld together.
  7. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
  8. Ladle the soup into bowls and serve hot. Enjoy!

Notes

Serve hot with crusty bread or a salad. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-5 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
