- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 cup fresh raspberries
- 1 tablespoon sugar (for raspberries)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease your baking pan.
- Melt the butter over low heat in a medium saucepan, then remove from heat.
- Add sugar to the melted butter and stir well. Then, add eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until creamy.
- Add cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder to the butter mixture and mix until smooth.
- Pour half of the batter into the greased baking pan.
- Mash the fresh raspberries with the tablespoon of sugar and spoon them over the batter.
- Pour the remaining batter on top of the raspberries and swirl with a knife or toothpick.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, checking doneness with a toothpick.
- Cool in the pan, then cut into squares and serve.
Notes
For added texture, consider mixing in chocolate chips or nuts. Store in an airtight container.
