Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a small bowl, stir together the flour, baking soda, and baking powder.
- Cream together the softened butter and white sugar until smooth and fluffy.
- Add the egg, vanilla extract, and almond extract to the butter mixture.
- Gradually blend the dry ingredients into the wet mixture.
- Roll rounded teaspoonfuls of dough into balls and arrange them on ungreased cookie sheets.
- Flatten each ball with the bottom of a glass.
- Bake for 8 to 10 minutes until the edges are lightly golden.
- Let the cookies cool on wire racks and then decorate with royal icing.
