Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together the brown sugar, granulated sugar, and softened butter until smooth and creamy.
- Beat in the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, ground cinnamon, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing just until combined.
- Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto ungreased baking sheets, leaving adequate space for spreading.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until lightly golden.
- Allow to cool on baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
Notes
For a nutty delight, add 1/2 cup of chopped walnuts or pecans. You can also mix in 1/2 cup of semisweet chocolate chips for a delightful contrast.
