- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
- In another bowl, beat the softened butter along with the brown sugar and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing in the vanilla extract until fully incorporated.
- Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined, being careful not to overmix.
- Gently stir in the chocolate chips.
- Drop spoonfuls of dough onto ungreased baking sheets, spacing them about two inches apart.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes until the edges are golden but the centers remain soft.
- Allow the cookies to cool slightly before transferring them to wire racks.
Notes
For a chewier texture, consider chilling the dough for 30 minutes before baking. You can also substitute semi-sweet chocolate chips with milk or dark chocolate.
