  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking dish with parchment paper.
  2. Make the brownie batter by melting the butter and mixing in sugar, eggs, and vanilla. Sift in cocoa powder, flour, and salt.
  3. Create the cookie dough by creaming butter and sugars, adding egg and vanilla, then mixing in flour, baking soda, and salt. Fold in chocolate chips.
  4. Pour brownie batter into the dish and layer spoonfuls of cookie dough on top. Press lightly to create a marbled effect.
  5. Bake for 30-35 minutes, until edges are set and the center is slightly gooey.
  6. Cool completely, then cut into squares and enjoy!
