Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking dish with parchment paper.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the 1/2 cup of unsalted butter for the brownie batter and stir in the sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until combined.
- Sift in the cocoa powder, flour, and salt into the wet mixture and mix until smooth.
- In another bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar for the cookie dough until light and fluffy.
- Add the egg and vanilla to the cookie dough mixture, and beat well.
- Gradually mix in the flour, baking soda, and salt until a soft cookie dough forms.
- Fold in the chocolate chips into the cookie dough.
- Pour the brownie batter into the lined baking dish and spread evenly.
- Drop spoonfuls of the chocolate chip cookie dough over the brownie batter and press gently to create a marbled effect.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes until the edges are set and the center is slightly gooey.
- Let cool completely before cutting into squares and serving.
