- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 2 cups sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 8 ounces semi-sweet chocolate
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking pan.
- Melt the butter in a large bowl and mix with sugar until smooth.
- Add eggs one at a time and mix well, then add vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, whisk flour, cocoa powder, and salt.
- Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet batter until no lumps remain.
- Pour the batter into the greased pan and spread evenly. Bake for about 25 minutes.
- While baking, melt the semi-sweet chocolate and let it cool.
- Whip heavy cream with powdered sugar until soft peaks form.
- Fold melted chocolate into whipped cream until smooth.
- Spread the mousse on top of cooled brownies.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.
- Cut into squares and serve.
