Description

Ingredients

  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 1/2 cups white sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar for rolling

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and baking powder.
  3. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and white sugar until smooth and fluffy.
  4. Beat in the egg, vanilla extract, and almond extract until well combined.
  5. Gradually stir the dry ingredients into the creamed mixture until combined.
  6. Roll the dough into 1-inch balls and coat each in granulated sugar.
  7. Place the dough balls on ungreased cookie sheets and flatten slightly.
  8. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes until golden around the edges.
  9. Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks.
