- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 1/2 cups white sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
- 3 tablespoons sugar for rolling
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a small bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, and baking powder; stir well.
- Cream the softened butter and white sugar together until light and fluffy.
- Mix in the egg, vanilla extract, and almond extract until well combined.
- Gradually mix in the dry ingredients until just combined.
- Roll teaspoonfuls of dough into small balls and coat in sugar.
- Place the dough balls on cookie sheets with space between them.
- Bake for 8-10 minutes or until the edges are golden.
- Allow cookies to cool on wire racks before serving.
Notes
Store leftover cookies in an airtight container. They can be frozen for up to three months.
