Description
A quick and flavorful dish featuring cubed chicken, broccoli, and bowtie pasta in a zesty lemon butter sauce.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups bowtie pasta
- 1 pound chicken breast, cubed
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 unit lemon, juiced and zested
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
Instructions
- Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Cook bowtie pasta until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Cut chicken into cubes. Wash and cut broccoli into small florets. Mince garlic. Zest and juice the lemon.
- Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add the butter and let it melt.
- Add minced garlic to the skillet. Cook 30–60 seconds until it smells good.
- Add the cubed chicken. Sprinkle paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook 6–8 minutes until chicken is cooked through and lightly browned.
- Add broccoli to the skillet. Cook 3–5 minutes until broccoli is tender but still bright green.
- Pour in lemon juice and add lemon zest. Stir to mix flavors.
- Add the cooked bowtie pasta. Toss everything together so the pasta gets the sauce.
- Taste and add more salt or pepper if needed. Serve warm with chopped parsley on top.
Notes
Do not overcook the pasta. Use fresh lemon for the best flavor. If using frozen broccoli, increase cooking time slightly.
