- 1 large egg
- ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
- ¼ cup honey
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup light brown sugar, packed
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon, divided
- 3 tablespoons granulated sugar (for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease or line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, combine the melted butter and brown sugar, mixing well.
- Add the egg, honey, and vanilla extract, whisking until blended.
- Stir in the all-purpose flour, salt, and ½ teaspoon of ground cinnamon until just combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly.
- Mix the granulated sugar with the remaining ½ teaspoon of ground cinnamon and sprinkle over the batter.
- Bake for 22–25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow to cool completely before cutting into squares.
Notes
Store in an airtight container for up to 3-4 days at room temperature, or refrigerate for a week. Can be frozen for up to 3 months.
