Ingredients

  • 20 oz cheese tortellini
  • 1 lb steak (sirloin or ribeye)
  • Salt
  • Black pepper
  • Garlic powder
  • Smoked paprika
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 5 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 3/4 cup whole milk
  • 1 1/4 cups parmesan, shredded or freshly grated
  • Parsley, chopped (optional)
  • Red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Cracked black pepper (optional garnish)

Instructions

  1. Boil salted water, add cheese tortellini, and cook until they float, then drain.
  2. Pat the steak dry and season with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet, sear steak for 3-4 minutes per side until desired doneness, then remove and let rest.
  4. In the same skillet, melt butter, add minced garlic, and sauté.
  5. Pour in heavy cream and whole milk, stirring until thickened.
  6. Gradually whisk in parmesan until melted, adding milk if too thick.
  7. Slice steak, fold in tortellini and steak into the sauce.
  8. Season as needed and garnish with parsley.
  9. Dish the meal and garnish with additional pepper if desired.

Notes

For added flavor, consider adding spinach or sun-dried tomatoes. Use quality steak for better taste.
