- 20 oz cheese tortellini
- 1 lb steak (sirloin or ribeye)
- Salt
- Black pepper
- Garlic powder
- Smoked paprika
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 4 tbsp butter
- 5 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 3/4 cup whole milk
- 1 1/4 cups parmesan, shredded or freshly grated
- Parsley, chopped (optional)
- Red pepper flakes (optional)
- Cracked black pepper (optional garnish)
Instructions
- Boil salted water, add cheese tortellini, and cook until they float, then drain.
- Pat the steak dry and season with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet, sear steak for 3-4 minutes per side until desired doneness, then remove and let rest.
- In the same skillet, melt butter, add minced garlic, and sauté.
- Pour in heavy cream and whole milk, stirring until thickened.
- Gradually whisk in parmesan until melted, adding milk if too thick.
- Slice steak, fold in tortellini and steak into the sauce.
- Season as needed and garnish with parsley.
- Dish the meal and garnish with additional pepper if desired.
Notes
For added flavor, consider adding spinach or sun-dried tomatoes. Use quality steak for better taste.
