Ingredients

- 1 cup orzo pasta
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1 cup cooked chicken, shredded
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 1 cup grated cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
Instructions
- Heat olive oil over medium heat in a large pot.
- Add orzo and toast for 2-3 minutes.
- Pour in chicken broth and bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for about 10 minutes.
- Stir in shredded chicken, broccoli, heavy cream, cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Cook until broccoli is tender and cheese is melted.
- Serve warm.
Notes
Use cooked chicken like rotisserie or leftover roast chicken to save time. Add a sprinkle of extra cheese or a little black pepper on top when serving.
