Ingredients

  • 1 cup orzo pasta
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup cooked chicken, shredded
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 1 cup grated cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil over medium heat in a large pot.
  2. Add orzo and toast for 2-3 minutes.
  3. Pour in chicken broth and bring to a boil.
  4. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for about 10 minutes.
  5. Stir in shredded chicken, broccoli, heavy cream, cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  6. Cook until broccoli is tender and cheese is melted.
  7. Serve warm.

Notes
