Description
A delightful dish with a creamy texture, zesty lemon, and rich Parmesan, perfect for a quick weeknight dinner or impressive side.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup orzo pasta
- 4 cups chicken or vegetable broth
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons butter
- Juice of 1 lemon
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- In a large skillet, bring the broth to a boil.
- Add the orzo and reduce the heat to a simmer. Cook for about 10-12 minutes, or until the orzo is tender and has absorbed most of the liquid.
- Stir in the butter, lemon juice, Parmesan cheese, and season with salt and pepper.
- Remove from heat and garnish with fresh parsley if desired. Serve warm.
Notes
Make sure to stir the orzo occasionally as it cooks to prevent sticking. Adjust lemon juice based on your taste preference. For extra creaminess, add a splash of cream or milk before serving.
