Ingredients
Boneless, skinless chicken thighs or breasts
Olive oil
Salt
Black pepper
Garlic powder
Onion powder
Paprika
Dried thyme
Butter
Finely chopped onion
Minced garlic
All-purpose flour
Chicken broth
Heavy cream
Long-grain white rice (uncooked)
Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
1. Pat chicken dry and season generously with spices.
2. Sear chicken until golden brown and cooked through, then remove from pan.
3. In the same pan, sauté onion and garlic until fragrant and soft.
4. Whisk in flour to create a roux.
5. Gradually whisk in chicken broth, simmer until slightly thickened.
6. Stir in heavy cream and adjust seasonings.
7. Add uncooked rice to the creamy sauce, cover, and simmer until rice is tender.
8. Return chicken to the pan, nestling it into the rice and sauce.
9. Garnish with fresh parsley and Parmesan before serving.
Notes
Parmesan cheese is optional but adds great flavor.
This is mostly a one-pan recipe, making cleanup easier.
