Description

Delightful and healthier churro bites made in the air fryer, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar (for coating)

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine the water, butter, sugar, and salt. Heat over medium heat until the mixture reaches a boil.
  2. Remove from heat and stir in the flour until a dough forms.
  3. Allow the dough to cool slightly, then add the eggs one by one.
  4. Mix in the vanilla extract.
  5. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  6. Pipe small bites of the dough onto a parchment-lined tray.
  7. Air fry the churro bites for 8 to 10 minutes, or until golden brown.
  8. Coat the warm churro bites in a mixture of cinnamon and sugar.
  9. Serve warm.

Notes

Serve with chocolate or caramel sauce for dipping, and enjoy with a scoop of ice cream for a special treat.
