Description
A healthy and tasty snack option that brings a fun twist to eating vegetables with a satisfying crunch.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 1/4 cup cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Olive oil
- Yogurt (for dipping)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Boil the broccoli florets for 2-3 minutes until slightly tender, then drain and let cool.
- Place the cooled broccoli between two sheets of parchment paper and smash them flat using a flat object.
- In a bowl, mix the cornstarch, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Coat each smashed broccoli piece with a little olive oil, then dip them into the cornstarch mixture.
- Arrange on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden and crisp.
- Serve with a yogurt-based dipping sauce.
Notes
Make sure the broccoli is cooled completely before smashing for better crunchiness. Don’t overcrowd the baking sheet; give enough space for the chips to crisp up. Adjust seasoning with your favorite spices for different flavors.
