Tender meatballs simmered in a rich and savory French onion broth, perfect for busy families and meal prep.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 packet French onion soup mix
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, egg, salt, and pepper; mix until well combined.
  2. Shape the mixture into golf ball-sized meatballs and place them in the bottom of the crockpot.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix sliced onions, beef broth, and French onion soup mix until combined.
  4. Pour the onion and broth mixture over the meatballs in the crockpot.
  5. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
  6. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.

Notes

For added flavor, customize spices or add cheese to the meatballs. Leftovers can be stored in airtight containers for up to 4 days.
