Easy Cheeseburger Pasta Dinner Casserole

Description

A family-friendly one-pot meal that combines the flavors of a classic cheeseburger with pasta in a creamy tomato base.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 (1 lb) box small pasta shells
  • 2 (10.5 oz) cans tomato soup
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 3 cups shredded cheese (cheddar or a combination)
  • Seasoning to taste (salt, pepper, & garlic powder)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375° F and grease a 9×13 baking dish.
  2. Cook the pasta according to the package instructions, drain, and set aside.
  3. Brown the beef in a large pan over medium heat until no longer pink. Remove any excess grease and season.
  4. Add the cooked pasta, both cans of soup, 1/2 cup of water, and half of the shredded cheese to the pan. Mix well.
  5. Spread the mixture into your prepared baking dish and top with the remaining shredded cheese.
  6. Cover the dish with foil and bake for 20 minutes. Then, remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes.

Notes

Feel free to customize with vegetables or different pasta shapes. For a vegetarian option, substitute ground beef with lentils.
