Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  1. Heat Treat the Flour: Place the flour in a microwave-safe bowl and heat in the microwave for about 1 to 2 minutes, stirring every 30 seconds. Set aside to cool.
  2. Cream the Butter and Sugars: In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until fluffy.
  3. Mix in the Remaining Ingredients: Add the cooled flour, vanilla extract, and salt to the creamed mixture and mix until combined.
  4. Add Chocolate Chips: Stir in the mini chocolate chips evenly.
  5. Form the Dough Balls: Roll the dough into balls, about 1 inch in diameter, and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  6. Melt the Coating Chocolate: Melt 8 oz of chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl or double boiler until smooth.
  7. Dip the Dough Balls: Dip each dough ball into the melted chocolate fully and allow excess chocolate to drip off.
  8. Set the Chocolate: Place the baking sheet in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes to set the chocolate coating.
  9. Enjoy: Serve the truffles and enjoy!
