- 3 to 4 tablespoons of colored sugar (for decoration, optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a medium bowl, combine flour, baking soda, and baking powder. Whisk together and set aside.
- In a larger bowl, cream together softened butter and white sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the egg, vanilla extract, and almond extract, mixing until smooth.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring gently until just combined.
- Form dough into balls and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Press each dough ball down slightly and sprinkle colored sugar on top if desired.
- Bake for 8 to 10 minutes until edges are light golden brown.
- Cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Enjoy your cookies with a glass of milk or your favorite beverage.
