Description

A delicious twist on the classic French dip sandwich, featuring crispy crescent dough filled with tender roast beef and melty cheese, perfect for dipping in rich Au Jus.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound roast beef, thinly sliced
  • 1 package crescent roll dough
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (provolone or Swiss)
  • 1 cup Au Jus gravy
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Roll out crescent dough in a greased baking dish, pressing seams together to form a crust.
  3. Layer roast beef evenly over the dough, followed by the cheese.
  4. In a small bowl, mix Au Jus gravy, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Drizzle half over the beef and cheese layers.
  5. Fold over the edges of the dough and pinch to seal tightly.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
  7. Remove from oven, allow to cool slightly, then cut into squares.
  8. Serve with remaining Au Jus for dipping and garnish with parsley if desired.

Notes

Feel free to swap roast beef with chicken or turkey, and try different types of cheese for unique flavors.
