Instructions
- In a medium saucepan over medium heat, warm the whole milk and heavy cream until just below boiling.
- Add chopped dark chocolate to the mixture, stirring continuously until fully melted and smooth.
- Stir in sugar and vanilla extract until dissolved; taste and adjust sweetness if desired.
- Whisk or use an electric frother to create a light froth.
- Pour into mugs and top with whipped cream or marshmallows, if desired.
