Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • ¾ cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup unsalted butter
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare two baking sheets by lining them with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and a pinch of salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, melt the unsalted butter.
  4. Once melted, mix it with the eggs and vanilla extract until everything is well combined.
  5. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry mix, stirring gently until just blended – be careful not to overmix.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips until they’re evenly distributed.
  7. Scoop balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, ensuring there’s space between each.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes, until the edges are set and the centers remain comfortably soft.

Notes

For a twist, try adding nuts, different flavored chips, or a dash of peppermint extract!
