Description
Tender garlic butter steak bites coated in a luxurious, creamy Parmesan sauce for an indulgent yet easy dinner.
Ingredients
1.5 lbs sirloin, New York Strip, or ribeye steak, cut into 1-inch pieces
4 tbsp unsalted butter
4–5 cloves garlic, minced
1 sprig fresh rosemary or thyme (optional)
Salt and freshly ground black pepper
1 tbsp olive oil
1.5 cups heavy cream
1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
1 tsp garlic powder (or 1 extra clove fresh garlic, minced)
Pinch of nutmeg (optional)
1/4 cup chicken or beef broth (optional, to thin sauce)
Optional garnishes: fresh parsley, red pepper flakes
Instructions
1. Pat steak bites dry with paper towels. Season generously with salt and pepper.
2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear steak bites in batches, 1-2 minutes per side, until browned. Remove and set aside.
3. Reduce heat to medium. Add butter, minced garlic, and herbs. Cook until fragrant. Spoon garlic butter over cooked steak bites.
4. In the same skillet, lower heat to medium-low. Pour in heavy cream and garlic powder.
5. Whisk in Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth. Season with salt, pepper, and nutmeg (if using). Simmer until sauce slightly thickens. Add broth if too thick.
6. Return steak bites to skillet. Toss gently in sauce until coated.
7. Serve hot, garnished with parsley or red pepper flakes.
Notes
Add red pepper flakes for heat.
Stir in mushrooms, spinach, or kale for extra flavor and nutrients.
Swap steak for chicken or shrimp.
Try Pecorino Romano or cream cheese for a twist on the sauce.
Serve over mashed potatoes, pasta, polenta, or with crusty bread.
