Description
A delicious twist on grilled cheese and burritos, combining seasoned beef and gooey cheeses wrapped in a soft tortilla.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 packet taco seasoning (or homemade blend)
- 1 cup cooked white rice
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup nacho cheese sauce
- 1/4 cup chipotle sauce
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella
- 4 large flour tortillas
- Butter or oil for grilling
Instructions
- Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat for 8–10 minutes. Drain excess grease. Add taco seasoning and 1/4 cup of water, then let it simmer for 5 minutes.
- Heat the tortillas on a dry skillet or in the microwave for better flexibility.
- Lay a tortilla flat and layer it with rice, seasoned beef, nacho cheese, chipotle sauce, and sour cream. Top with shredded cheddar and mozzarella.
- Heat a clean skillet and sprinkle 2 tablespoons of shredded cheese on the bottom. Place the burrito seam-side down and cook until the cheese melts and forms a crispy crust. Flip the burrito and cook the other side until golden.
Notes
For extra flavor, add diced onions or bell peppers when cooking the beef. Feel free to experiment with different proteins like shredded chicken or tofu.
