Description
A hearty and flavorful take on the classic Philly cheesesteak featuring juicy ground beef, sautéed vegetables, and melty cheese in a fresh hoagie roll.

- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
- 1 medium green bell pepper, thinly sliced
- 1 cup mushrooms, sliced (optional)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- Salt, to taste
- Black pepper, to taste
- 4 slices provolone cheese (or any cheese of your preference)
- 4 hoagie rolls
- Olive oil, for cooking
Instructions
- Heat a large skillet and drizzle olive oil over medium-high heat.
- Add sliced onions and bell peppers; sauté for 3 to 5 minutes until tender. If using mushrooms, add them and cook for an additional 3 minutes.
- Push vegetables to one side of the skillet, add ground beef to the other side, and cook for 5 to 7 minutes until no longer pink.
- Season beef and veggies with garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper; cook for another 2 minutes.
- Lower heat, add cheese slices on top, cover with a lid, and melt for 2 to 3 minutes.
- Slice hoagie rolls lengthwise but not all the way through.
- Fill each hoagie roll with the beef and vegetable mixture; pack nicely.
- Optionally toast rolls before serving; serve hot.
Notes
Customize with your favorite cheeses or vegetables. Serve with chips, fries, or coleslaw.
