Description
A quick and healthy stir fry that combines protein-packed ground chicken with nutritious broccoli, perfect for busy weeknights.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb ground chicken
- 3 cups broccoli florets (bite-sized)
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free)
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 2 green onions, sliced
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 2 tablespoons vegetable or olive oil
Instructions
- Wash and chop the broccoli into bite-sized florets. Mince the garlic and ginger, and slice the green onions.
- Heat oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the ground chicken, breaking it apart with a spatula. Cook until browned and no longer pink, about 5-7 minutes.
- Push the chicken to the side of the pan and add the garlic, ginger, and broccoli. Stir fry for 3-4 minutes until the broccoli brightens in color but still maintains a bit of crunch.
- Pour in the soy sauce and drizzle sesame oil. Stir everything together to coat the chicken and broccoli evenly. Cook for another 1-2 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
- Turn off the heat and sprinkle with sliced green onions and red pepper flakes if using. Serve immediately.
Notes
You can serve over rice or noodles for a more filling meal. This stir fry also stores well; refrigerate in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
