- 1 pie crust
- 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
- 1 cup carrots, diced
- 1 cup peas
- 1 cup potatoes, cubed
- 1/2 cup onion, chopped
- 1/3 cup butter
- 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1 cup milk
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter.
- Add the chopped onions to the melted butter and cook until translucent.
- Stir in the all-purpose flour, then gradually add the chicken broth and milk, stirring until the mixture thickens.
- Add the shredded chicken, carrots, peas, potatoes, salt, and pepper, mixing well.
- Pour the filling into the prepared pie crust and cover it with the top crust, cutting slits for ventilation.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes until the crust is golden-brown.
- Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
For a golden top crust, brush it with egg wash before baking. Can be stored in the fridge for 3-4 days or frozen for up to 2 months.
