Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup buttermilk
  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup buttermilk (for marinating)
  • 1 cup hot honey sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • Oil, for frying
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Marinate the Chicken: Start by marinating the chicken breasts in buttermilk for at least 1 hour.
  2. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  3. Make the Biscuit Dough: In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and salt. Cut in cold butter until crumbly, then stir in buttermilk until just combined.
  4. Knead and Roll the Dough: Lightly flour the surface and knead the dough gently, then roll it out to 1 inch thick and cut into circles.
  5. Bake the Biscuits: Place biscuits on a baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Fry the Chicken: Heat oil and fry marinated chicken until golden and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes per side.
  7. Assemble the Biscuits: Place a piece of fried chicken between two biscuits, drizzled with hot honey sauce. Serve hot.
