Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce (optional)
  • Cooking spray or butter for greasing the pan

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef and chopped onion until the beef is browned and onion is softened. Drain excess fat.
  3. Add salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and Worcestershire sauce to the beef mixture and stir to combine.
  4. Grease a 9-inch pie dish with cooking spray or butter.
  5. Spread the cooked beef mixture evenly in the pie dish and sprinkle cheese on top.
  6. In a bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, and flour to create a smooth batter. Pour over the beef and cheese layers.
  7. Bake for 25–30 minutes until golden and a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.
  8. Let the pie cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
