Unsalted butter

Granulated sugar

Eggs

Vanilla extract

All-purpose flour

Unsweetened cocoa powder

Salt

Chocolate chips (optional, for extra fudginess)

Orange candy melts or white chocolate + orange food coloring

Pretzel sticks or green candy melts (for stems)

Black edible marker or black gel icing (for faces)

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9×13 inch pan with parchment paper.

2. Melt butter and stir in sugar until combined.

3. Whisk in eggs one at a time, then add vanilla extract.

4. Whisk together flour, cocoa powder, and salt in a separate bowl.

5. Combine dry and wet ingredients, mixing just until combined. Fold in chocolate chips if using.

6. Pour batter into pan, bake 25–30 minutes, until a toothpick shows moist crumbs.

7. Cool completely before cutting.

8. Lift brownies from pan, cut into circles or pumpkin shapes.

9. Melt orange candy melts or white chocolate with orange coloring.

10. Dip tops of brownies in melted coating, let excess drip off.

11. Add pretzel stick or green candy melt as stem.

12. Chill until coating sets.

13. Draw jack o’lantern faces with edible marker or black icing.

Notes

Don’t overbake; brownies should stay fudgy.

Cool fully before decorating to avoid smearing.

Use good quality cocoa and chocolate for best flavor.

Practice drawing faces before decorating brownies.

Store in airtight container for 3–4 days at room temp or up to a week refrigerated.
