Description
A fun and tasty appetizer combining creamy cheese with a spicy kick from jalapeños, shaped like a football for an exciting presentation.
Ingredients
Scale
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup diced jalapeños (fresh or pickled)
- 1/2 cup chopped green onions
- 1 cup crushed crackers (for coating)
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, diced jalapeños, green onions, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Shape the mixture into a football shape, then roll it in the crushed crackers to coat.
- Place the cheese ball on a serving platter and use additional jalapeños or pretzel sticks to create ‘laces’ for the football effect.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving. Serve with additional crackers or veggies.
Notes
For extra flavor, consider using smoked cheddar cheese instead of regular cheddar. You can also add crumbled bacon or pepper jack cheese for a twist.
