Ingredients

- 180 g all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon matcha powder
- 1 tablespoon milk powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 115 g unsalted butter (softened to room temperature)
- 150 g granulated sugar
- 1 large egg (at room temperature)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 100 g white chocolate (roughly chopped)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the flour, matcha powder, milk powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt until well combined.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter with an electric hand mixer until creamy. Gradually add the granulated sugar and mix until light and fluffy.
- Add in the room temperature egg and vanilla extract, mixing until fully incorporated.
- Gradually add the flour mixture to the butter-sugar mixture, mixing until just combined.
- Gently fold in the chopped white chocolate using a silicone spatula, being careful not to overmix.
- Scoop the dough onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving about 2 inches between each scoop.
- Bake for 12-14 minutes until edges are set and center is soft.
- Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for about 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week, or freeze for up to three months.
