Description

Delightful cookies combining the rich flavor of matcha with creamy white chocolate, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 180 g all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon matcha powder
  • 1 tablespoon milk powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 115 g unsalted butter (softened to room temperature)
  • 150 g granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg (at room temperature)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 100 g white chocolate (roughly chopped)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the flour, matcha powder, milk powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt until well combined.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter with an electric hand mixer until creamy. Gradually add the granulated sugar and mix until light and fluffy.
  4. Add in the room temperature egg and vanilla extract, mixing until fully incorporated.
  5. Gradually add the flour mixture to the butter-sugar mixture, mixing until just combined.
  6. Gently fold in the chopped white chocolate using a silicone spatula, being careful not to overmix.
  7. Scoop the dough onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving about 2 inches between each scoop.
  8. Bake for 12-14 minutes until edges are set and center is soft.
  9. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for about 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week, or freeze for up to three months.
