Description

A quick and delicious one-pot meal combining ground beef, elbow macaroni, and rich tomato sauce, perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef (lean or regular)
  • 2 cups elbow macaroni
  • 2 cups tomato sauce
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups beef broth or water
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (optional, such as mozzarella, cheddar, or Italian blend)

Instructions

  1. Heat a large pot over medium heat. Add ground beef, diced onion, and minced garlic, breaking up the beef as it cooks until browned and onions are translucent.
  2. Pour in the tomato sauce and beef broth (or water). Sprinkle in Italian seasoning and stir well.
  3. Add elbow macaroni, ensuring it’s mostly submerged in the sauce and liquid mixture.
  4. Increase heat to bring to a gentle boil.
  5. Reduce heat to a simmer and cover the pot, cooking for about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  6. Check if pasta is tender and stir in shredded cheese for a creamier texture, allowing it to melt.

Notes

Garnish with fresh herbs or serve with a side salad and garlic bread for added flavor.
