Description

A delicious dessert combining rich chocolate cake with the creamy goodness of Oreo cookies, perfect for any celebration.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 and 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 and 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1520 Oreo cookies (crushed)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
  2. In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Whisk until well combined.
  3. Add eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients. Mix on medium speed for about 2 minutes.
  4. Carefully stir in the boiling water until the batter is thin.
  5. Gently fold in the crushed Oreo cookies.
  6. Pour the batter into prepared pans and bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Let cakes cool in pans for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
  8. Serve with your favorite frosting and additional crushed Oreos for decoration.

Notes

Store leftovers in plastic wrap or an airtight container; cake lasts about 3 to 4 days at room temperature or 2 to 3 months in the freezer.
