  • 3 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 4 oz. cream cheese (softened)
  • 8 oz. whipped topping/Cool Whip
  • 24 crushed Oreos

Instructions

  1. Begin by melting 8 oz. of milk or semi-sweet melting chocolate in a medium saucepan with 4 tablespoons of whole milk over medium heat. Stir frequently until melted.
  2. Allow the melted chocolate to cool for about 5 to 10 minutes until cool to touch but still thickened.
  3. In a mixing bowl, mix 4 oz. of softened cream cheese and 3 tablespoons of granulated sugar until smooth and creamy.
  4. Slowly pour the cooled chocolate mixture into the cream cheese and sugar mixture, stirring thoroughly until well combined.
  5. Fold in 8 oz. of whipped topping or Cool Whip gently until creamy and smooth.
  6. Layer the dessert in small cups or a trifle bowl: start with a layer of crushed Oreos, followed by a layer of chocolate mousse, and then another layer of whipped topping. Repeat until cups or bowl are filled.
  7. Serve immediately or refrigerate for up to 24 hours. Assemble layers just before serving for best flavor and texture.
