Instructions
- Grease the baking dish with butter to prevent sticking.
- Cut the loaf of bread into small, one-inch cubes and place evenly in the greased dish.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, heavy cream, maple syrup, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt until smooth.
- Pour the egg mixture over the bread cubes, ensuring all pieces are soaked.
- Cover the baking dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) when ready to bake.
- Let the dish sit at room temperature for 15 minutes, then bake for 45-50 minutes until golden brown and set.
- Let it cool slightly and optionally dust with powdered sugar before serving.
Notes
