- 1 medium head of green cabbage (2–3 pounds)
- 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
- ½ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Remove any damaged leaves from the cabbage, then slice it into ¾-inch thick “steaks.”
- On a lined baking sheet, drizzle olive oil over each steak and season with salt and pepper.
- Mix Parmesan cheese with garlic powder and sprinkle generously over the cabbage steaks.
- Roast for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
Notes
Slice the cabbage evenly to ensure all steaks cook at the same rate. Consider adding a squeeze of lemon juice or a sprinkle of fresh herbs before serving.
