- 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup jarred pimentos, drained and chopped
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 package of puff pastry sheets
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Mix the filling: In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, shredded cheddar, pimentos, mayonnaise, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until creamy.
- Prepare the puff pastry: Roll out and cut the pastry into 3×3 inch squares.
- Fill the pastry: Spoon the pimento cheese mixture into the center of each square.
- Seal the bites: Fold corners over the filling and pinch edges to seal tightly.
- Egg wash: Brush the tops with beaten egg for a golden color.
- Bake: Place on a baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
- Cool and serve: Let cool for a few minutes before serving warm or at room temperature.
