Inspired by the legendary $1.50 sandwich from Augusta National, this Masters-style pimento cheese sandwich is creamy, tangy, and packed with Southern tradition. Serve it cold for the full experience.

Ingredients

Scale

1 cup shredded sharp American cheese

1/2 cup shredded Swiss cheese

1/2 cup mayonnaise (preferably Duke’s)

1/4 cup diced pimentos (drained)

2 oz cream cheese (optional)

1/4 tsp garlic powder (optional)

Salt and pepper to taste

8 slices soft white sandwich bread

Instructions

1. In a medium bowl, mix the shredded cheeses, mayonnaise, and cream cheese (if using) until smooth.

2. Fold in the diced pimentos and optional garlic powder.

3. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.

4. Spread about 1/3 cup of the mixture on one slice of bread. Top with another slice.

5. Repeat with remaining mixture and bread slices.

6. Cut sandwiches in half and serve cold, or chill 30 minutes for a firmer texture.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge up to 4 days.

For extra Southern flair, serve with peach iced tea or lemonade.

Perfect for Masters watch parties or nostalgic lunches.
